RedBakery Spain 2024:
Expectations Met!
Notes / By Jeannette Munoz / March 7, 2024
A high-quality professional experience was what the group of national Bakery businessmen experienced as part of this official delegation organized by RedBakery.
As promised, in these virtual pages we will make the final review of the exciting activities that took place in Spain and we will share the testimonies of some participants of the RedBakery visit in Madrid and Barcelona, last February, with direct and indirect benefits for the entire bakery – pastry sector in Chile.
We will begin the review of this activity, with the story of Mario Núñez, General Manager RedBakery: «Our RedBakery 2024 business mission was a complete success. We more than met the objectives we had set for ourselves; We visited the InterSICOP fair, several bakery and pastry locations, both traditional and chain and modern channel models. We also went to baking and pastry schools, to research and innovation centers. We visited mills, we visited a guild of equipment companies and we managed to gather a pretty good group where the attendees and guests we had were very satisfied.”
Regarding meetings, we can highlight those held with María José Sánchez, director of InterSICOP, with executives from Molino Villa Mayor and clients at Bongard, with leaders of the Association of Artisanal Pastry Chefs of Spain, with representatives of the Madrid Gastronomic Innovation Center , with Almudena Lázaro, director of CIG of Madrid and the meeting with the President of Amec-Afespan Carlos Sebastiá and his work team.
The work visits included Pastelería la Duquesita, by Oriol Balaguer, Molinera Moretó, the Barcelona School of Bakers, a meeting with its director Francesc Vidal, the Hofmann pastry school and various locations of bakeries and pastry shops.
The RedBakery Spain group that participated in the aforementioned activities was made up of: Carlos Cepeda, (General Manager of Molinera San Cristóbal), Richard Flemming (Assistant Development & Quality Manager of Molino San Cristóbal), Máximo Picallio (President of Achiga), Esteban Valentín (Quinta Operations Manager), Pablo Correa (Business Manager Richs Chile), Andrea Clavero and Andrés Quiros, (Pastry Partners Strindberg), Joel Solorza (Director of the UDLA Gastronomy School), Abi Moskovicz (Director of the Business School University of Liverpool), Osvaldo Cabrera (IFEMA Madrid Delegate in Chile), María Ángulo (RedBakery Customer Loyalty Executive) and Mario Núñez (RedBakery General Manager).
